Artist Elektra Buhalis, is the proprietor of Eon9 Gallery in Greensboro, Vermont. Currently showing The Legacy Collection - Sculpture, drawings and paintings by her parents, Nicholas Buhalis and Sandra Mackintosh Buhalis, alongside Elektra's work.
Elektra was classically trained by both her mother and her father. She has shown her work in museums and galleries. She painted backdrops for Broadway, movies and television, for over two decades. She has a prolific creative drive. Hudson River landscape paintings, large format mural commissions, many of which have been American primitive landscapes for historic home restorations in the Hudson Valley New York. Intimate portraits of both animals & people in charcoal and oil paint. Her work has been shown in galleries and museums in New York and Vermont.
Elektra firmly believes that there’s an ever growing necessity to support an impassioned hand wrought analog future in a time of growing techno- feudalism.
As a side passion, She loves spending time growing beautiful & abundant gardens. She also enjoys designing and making shirts (with an emphasis on glitter) of messages that she feels are especially relevant in these complicated times.
"What a simple and wonderful way to express yourself, by combining activism with sparkles!"
